How it works

  1. 1

Choose one PDF and review its pages.

  2. 2

Build visual output groups or choose an automatic split method.

  3. 3

Download one PDF or a ZIP created locally.

Private by design

The outputs and ZIP archive are created in a dedicated browser worker. No document request is sent to a server.

Your PDF files are read, previewed, edited, and rebuilt on this device. The server delivers the application, not your documents.

Specific limits

Empty groups, invalid ranges, pages outside the document, and more than 100 outputs are blocked before export.

Each output group is validated immediately.

A single result downloads directly as PDF.

Up to 100 results can be packaged locally.

Choose the right split method

Use custom groups when the new files follow meaningful sections such as chapters, invoices, exhibits, or student submissions. Every-N-pages is useful for documents made from records with a fixed length. Fixed output count creates a requested number of balanced consecutive parts, while one-page-per-file is intended for individual sheets. Selected-pages mode turns the current page selection into separate outputs. The projected groups are shown before processing, which makes it possible to verify both membership and output names instead of discovering a range mistake after downloading a ZIP.

Custom groups normally protect against accidental overlap because repeated pages often indicate a typing error. Enable reusable pages only when the same cover, instructions, or terms genuinely belong in several outputs. A single generated part downloads as a PDF; several parts use one ZIP with stable, padded filenames that sort correctly. Splitting rebuilds each result from source pages, so visual page quality is retained but signatures and document-level navigation may change. For one new PDF containing several chosen pages, Extract is simpler and avoids creating multiple files.

Frequently asked questions

How is Split different from Extract?

Split creates several files. Extract creates one PDF containing all selected pages.

Can one page appear in several outputs?

Yes, when the reusable-pages option is enabled for custom groups.

Why do I sometimes receive a ZIP?

Multiple PDFs are combined into one locally generated ZIP to avoid many download prompts.

Can I split every N pages?

Yes. Choose the interval and the projected output count is shown before export.
